About Wedivo

A wedding lasts one day. Getting there takes a year.

Wedivo is an Indonesian company that builds the software for that year. Not just the invitation your guests open — the guest list behind it, the budget under it, the seating chart, the door on the day, and the photos afterwards. One account, from the first idea to the last thank-you.

2024The year we started

Wedivo began as a favour for one couple, and became a company the moment other couples started asking for the same thing.

Every one of them talks to the same guest list, so a name typed once is never typed again.

How Wedivo started

It started with a spreadsheet that had already been printed four times.

Not with a market-size slide. With a real wedding, a real guest list, and the very ordinary chaos that nobody warns a couple about.

  1. 1

    The wedding that started it

    Everything existed. Nothing was connected.

A friend was getting married in Purwokerto. The invitation was beautiful — someone had built it, sent a link, and that was the end of their involvement. Everything after that link was the couple's problem.

The guest list lived in a spreadsheet. The RSVPs lived in a WhatsApp group. The seating plan lived on a printed sheet with names crossed out in three colours of pen. The budget lived in a notes app that only one of them could open. Five tools, five copies of the same 400 names, and not one of them knew what the others said.

Two nights before the wedding, a table changed. The seating chart was redrawn by hand. The name cards were reprinted. Nobody told the person on the door, so on the day a guest was walked to a seat that no longer existed. Small thing. Except it was somebody's wedding, and it was avoidable.

  2. 2

    The realisation

The invitation is not the product. The guest list is.

We had been thinking about it the way the market thinks about it: a wedding invitation is a pretty page you buy once. But the pretty page is the smallest part of the job. It is the front door of a system a couple has to run for a year, mostly on their phone, mostly at night, mostly while also holding down a full-time job.

Everything a couple actually struggles with is downstream of one list of names: who is coming, who is bringing whom, where they sit, what they are given, who has arrived, and which photos they appear in. Get that list right, once, and every other problem stops being data entry and starts being a decision.

So we built the opposite way round. The guest list came first. The invitation was hung off it.

  3. 3

    Building it

Written next to real weddings, not in a room away from them.

Every feature Wedivo has started as something a couple, or the organizer running their day, told us they were doing by hand. QR check-in came from a receptionist with a clipboard and no idea who had already walked in. The seating canvas came from that redrawn sheet of paper. The disposable camera and the face-matched photo gallery came from the same question, asked at every wedding: where are the photos?

The AI design builder came last, not first, and for an unglamorous reason — describing a wedding is easier than choosing from a grid of 200 templates, and a couple who can describe theirs in a sentence gets something that looks like them, in about a minute.

We test everything the way it will be used: on a phone, on a venue's bad Wi-Fi, by someone who has never seen the screen before and has forty guests waiting behind them.

  4. 4

    Where it is now

One platform, and a company standing behind it.

Wedivo is now a registered Indonesian company — PT. Wedivo Digital Solution — operating from Purwokerto and serving couples across Indonesia and beyond. The whole platform is available in two languages, because half of Indonesian weddings have a guest list that is not entirely Indonesian-speaking.

We kept the part that made it work in the first place: the couple is the customer. Not the vendor, not the venue, not the advertiser. Nothing on Wedivo is sold to your guests, and your guest list is never anybody's mailing list.

What we hold to

Four things we refuse to get wrong.

Everything else about the product is up for argument. These four are not.

The couple owns the wedding

Your guest list, your photos, your budget, your gift money. We store it, we protect it, and we never sell it, rent it, or advertise into it. Export it or delete it whenever you like.

Type a name once

If you have already told Wedivo something, no part of Wedivo should ask again. One guest list feeds the RSVP, the seating chart, the door, the souvenirs and the photo gallery.

It has to work on the day

A wedding does not get a second attempt. Check-in works on a slow venue connection; the invitation opens on a five-year-old phone; nothing important depends on a laptop somebody left at home.

Say the price plainly

One-time plans, no subscription trap, no feature that quietly stops working the week before the wedding. What a plan includes is written on the pricing page, in full.

What we build

Thirteen tools that behave like one.

Each of these is a page in your dashboard. All of them read the same wedding, which is the only reason having thirteen of them is bearable.

Every tool has its own page here, with a live demo you can use without signing in.

The company

Who you are actually dealing with.

Wedivo is operated by a registered Indonesian company. Here is its full identity, the same one printed on the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Service.
