Building the layout
Start from a venue template or an empty canvas. Tables come round, square, ellipse, half-round, curved banquet bands and straight rows of chairs — each with the seat count you need, and a choice of which edge the seats sit along.
Decorations orient the plan without seating anyone: stage, doors, dance floor, tent, buffet, air conditioning, restroom and accessibility signage, plus a custom SVG for anything else.
Resizing a table changes how many seats fit around it, not how big they are. Chairs stay realistic, which keeps the drawing usable as an actual floor plan.
Precise by default
Drag to move, corner-drag to resize. Shift locks to one axis while dragging, or keeps the shape square while resizing. Alignment and spacing guides appear as you near another element's edge, centre or an equal gap.
Copy, paste, duplicate, nudge with the arrow keys (fine with Shift), and bring to front or send to back. Marquee-select, Shift-click multi-select and Shift-rotate are all there — press ? for the full list.
Whatever you select is tinted so it's obvious which element the panel on the right is editing, even on a crowded plan.
Seating real people
Two tabs on the right: Properties for the selected element, Guest List for everyone still needing a seat. The number on the tab is how many are left.
Drag a guest onto a seat — it lights green and names the table and seat number you're about to land on. Tick several first (Shift-click for a run) and they fill from the seat you drop on, around that table.
On a phone, tick the guests and tap the seat to start from — same result, no dragging. Switch to Everyone to see who's already seated, and free a seat again.
A guest bringing others becomes one entry per pax, so a family of four gets four chairs. Shift-click a seat to hide it — for the side of a table that faces a wall.
Getting it out of the screen
Print & Export isn't one PDF. Pick from a floor-plan map, per-guest seating cards, an alphabetic guest list, name cards and table-number cards — whichever combination you actually need.
On the day, checked-in guests show up on the plan, so you can see which seats have genuinely filled.
